Keith Urban spread some holiday cheer ahead of Christmas with a visit to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville earlier this week, spending time with patients and their families.
He Spent Time Visiting Patients
While there, the country star stopped by Seacrest Studios, where he answered questions, posed for photos, and led a patient sing-along during a special acoustic performance.

Urban Also Donated Guitars
Urban also donated guitars to the hospital’s music therapy program, which uses personalized music interventions to help support children and families through emotional care, pain and anxiety management, developmental goals, coping skills, and overall well-being.
“We are truly grateful to Keith Urban for sharing his time to visit with children and families inside Seacrest Studios at Monroe Carell,” Meg Rush, MD, MMHC, president of Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, shared in a statement. “Keith is a wonderful friend to our hospital with several visits over the years. His thoughtful and generous gift of guitars to our Music Therapy Program will help us continue using music as added therapy to bring comfort and healing to children during their hospital stay.”

First-Ever Full-Length Live Album Out Now
Urban’s visit follows the release of his first-ever live album, HIGH AND A(LIVE). The project captures every moment of his two-hour, 20-song concert, giving fans the chance to experience (or relive) one of the most explosive tours of his career. Recorded during the recently wrapped HIGH AND ALIVE WORLD TOUR, his first in nearly three years, the album showcases screaming guitar solos, massive crowd sing-alongs, and a cover of New Radicals’ “You Get What You Give.”
Some of the superstar’s biggest hits, including “Blue Ain’t Your Color,” “One Too Many,” “Somebody Like You” and “Wasted Time,” are included on the project.
“Playing live is what I live to do. Looking out from a stage and seeing people singing, forgetting about all the stress in their lives, cutting loose, and feeling ALIVE – that’s what it’s about for me,” Urban shared.
